Origin PyroDesu (Hephaestus)

The ARM standard spacesuit that all new ARM soldiers start out with. It is a skintight, grayish spacesuit, much less bulky than the MkI, its predecessor. The only part of it with an actual atmosphere is the helmet, which is sealed off from the rest of the body. "MCP" stands for Mechanical Counter Pressure; rather than having a pressurized atmosphere, prone to decompression if pierced, the suit's tightness provides the pressure, even if you got a hole shot through you. In vacuum, only the area directly exposed will be effected. Smaller wounds will simply swell a bit and freeze. Larger wounds might cause your guts to go streaming out into space, however.

The MCP-I does not have the heat exchange system of the Mark I, instead using the Mark II and III system.

Protects against cold and vacuum. Has a built-in communications system, light lamps, a small generator, and a few other bits and pieces, but nothing special.

The helmet has a solid metal visor with a camera on the outside. On the inside of the visor is a screen which displays the camera's feed. The visor can be lifted away from the face, revealing a protective glass window.

The light lamps can be removed from the helmet, allowing other electronics to be plugged into the suit's power system.

Things you can control through suit menus (some features might need roll to discover):

  • Lights
  • Light Amplification software
  • The monitor on faceplate
  • Internal temperature
  • Clocks
  • Tetris

Like the Mark I, it will protect you from (some) dangerous temperatures and radiation, though extremes of either are still dangerous. The suit, being made from metal, also provides some protection against kinetics and lasers, which take an additional second or two to burn through. (The kinetic protection is not strong enough to protect against anything listed on the Armory.)
