Kyle had a fairly standard life before being sentenced to these suicidal missions, doing whatever odd jobs he could for extra cash. He had a particular knack for working in mechanical systems, although he was somewhat better at using them than assembling them. Although he's reasonably competent at most jobs, he has a hatred of standard guns, after watching the local law enforcement gun down a friend for a minor offense.
