Astra lived in an industrial sector of the planet Atlantis 2, a prominently water planet with the cities built to float. She was part of the crews that checked on the floatation devices and made sure that they kept running. However she eventually got sick of the constant hazards (leaks, field manipulator failures etc.) and the low pay, so when a protest for workers rights formed, she joined without thinking of the consequences. As a result she was shipped of the HMRC along with most of her fellow protesters.
